IGP and DOP WINES
From the passion for nature, for life in the fields, the Le Conche company was born, located 500 meters above the sea, on the rugged but generous hills of Bisignano, sloping down towards the Duglia river, a right tributary of the Crati. Ideal environment for growing vines according to nature, dry, ventilated, away from sources of pollution, which has always been the cradle of vines, figs and olives. The company has an extension of 43 hectares of which 9 are invested in olive groves, 5 are invested in vineyards and the remaining are raised in the Black pig of Calabria. Until now, the company has dedicated only to the cultivation of olive trees and has intended to diversify its productions by investing in the cultivation of vines, aiming mainly on native varieties (Magliocco Dolce-Mantonico Bianco) in order to obtain wines particularly linked to the territory. From new, modern plants all rigorously cultivated with organic methods, and taking care of every stage of processing, wines of great quality are obtained.
The Vines of Sweet Magliocco
Calabrian autochthonous sweet Magliocco is a late ripening vine. When ripe, the bunch is medium in size, rather long with a conical shape, usually compact and the peduncle between the short and the very short, green in color. It adapts well to drought and hot climates. The polyphenolic kit is very rich and vinified in purity gives life to wines with good structure and suitable for aging, aromatic, soft with a strong acidity and alcohol content.
Whine of White Mantonico
Mantonico Bianco(white Mantonico) is an ancient Calabrian autochthonous white grape variety. It is a vine that represents a small historical heritage of the Calabrian territory for a long time forgotten and which has only begun to be enhanced in recent years. The plant produces clusters of medium size, with rather thick-skinned berries, which ripen with a golden yellow color. It is a late ripening variety. The dry vinification highlights a good structure and a good aromatic outfit.
